Tod Kimmelshue awarded Butte County Farm Bureau’s top honor

Butte County Farm Bureau recognized Tod Kimmelshue as the 2014 Member of the Year during the annual dinner Thursday. Kimmelshue has served on the Butte County Farm Bureau board of directors for several years. Letter: Kimmelshue a facilitator and reasonable voice
As an independent who could be characterized as liberal on many issues, I support Tod Kimmelshue for supervisor. We don’t need further polarization and I do not see County Supervisor as a partisan office, although some would clearly like to make it one. Butte County is one of the most biologically productive places on the planet.  Our rich soils, ample water, and Mediterranean climate produce both an abundance of agricultural crops and important wildlife habitat – attracting birds from as far away as Argentina and the Arctic Circle. The Farm Bureau, the Sheriff, the Deputy Sheriff’s Association and the Cal Fire Firefighters Association are all supporting Tod. Kimmelshue is also the only candidate with a huge bipartisan list of endorsements that includes Maureen Kirk, James Gallagher, Kasey Reynolds, Dan Herbert and the mayors from both Biggs and Gridley.
